The consultation aimed to gather community input for the 14-acre park, focusing on passive recreation that preserves the park’s environmental integrity. Key features under consideration include water access, a 1.6-mile promenade, and additional trails, with community suggestions for amenities such as fishing platforms, picnic areas, and kayak launches. The project, supported by state and local funding, emphasizes community involvement and ecological preservation in shaping a space that enhances health, wellness, and connectivity between neighboring towns.
